Echoes of Light - A Solo Exhibition by Sung Lee

Echoes of Light - A Solo Exhibition by Sung Lee

Light is silent, but it can illuminate the dust of time; sound is invisible, but it can evoke deep memories.

In “Echoes of Light”, the artist tried to use ceramics and reliefs to create a space for dialogue, allowing time, emotion and history to come together, so that he can hear the whisper of light in silence, and look for warm echoes in the darkness.

The themes of the works revolve around memories, shelter, escape and the building-up of dialogues. The works range from vintage objects to whales, from past lives to the reappearance of art history. Through these works, the artist hopes to lead the viewers to envisage the echoes of time in between the light and shadow, and encourage them to think about the idea of recovering a sense of belonging in the midst of uneasiness.

“Echoes of Light” is not only a visual experience, but also an artistic encounter in which time, history and imagination converge. In the light, shadow and silence, each work is like a whisper, waiting to be heard.
